Chloe wore a beautiful Alencon lace soft mermaid gown by Casablanca Bridals from Simply Elegant Bridal.  The sheer jewel neckline and dramatic keyhole back give this gown a soft romantic feel.

How did he propose?

Ethan and I are really laid back and low key.  He proposed in his living room apartment before we went to dinner.  It was the day after my birthday and I was going to open my birthday present before we went to dinner and when I opened the box there was a sign that teachers hang above their door that said, Mrs. Massey? (Ethan taught for one year and as a joke his principal put Mrs. Massey on his sign instead of Mr. Massey.  Also fitting because I am a teacher now.)  I read the sign and looked up to him on one knee.  It was very “us”.

Advice for other brides.

Gosh, I don’t know.  Maybe don’t stress out over it all.  It can be a lot, but in the end, it’s all gonna happen whether it is perfect or not.  That was sort of my motto.  I was a really laid back bride (almost too laid back!) and didn’t really worry about everything until the last minute.  I was lucky to have my sister who did a huge part of the planning and DIY work.

What was the most memorable part of your wedding?
The most memorable part of our wedding was the reception.  We talked for the entirety of our engagement about how we wanted to have a fun reception where people were up and dancing and enjoying themselves.  We definitely had that.  I danced more than I talked to people!  Some people do the opposite, but we wanted to be able to enjoy the reception our families and us had spent some much time and money on!  It was a great time, if I do say so myself! 🙂
